colgate character sheet-01

character design sample
markers on 11 x 14 marker paper

Here and in the posts below are some samples of marker work, design, and storyboarding I've been making recently, and sending out in the constant shark-like search for work that is freelancing.
As always, your comments are welcome and appreciated.

I've recently had a couple of illustration jobs that I'll get around to posting next week more than likely. It brought to mind however how much I enjoy doing these, so I thought I would post or in most cases re-post some work done this past year or so.
Let me know what you think.
thanks,
George

Hey Folks!
It's been a bit since the last post, but we just got back from a two week family vacation on Cape Cod. I don't think I have to mention that it was NICE (!).
So now I'm getting back into the swing of things and cranking out some new art and rounding up stuff for the final sprint of summer. Here's what it looks like at Honolulu Dogfight HQ...

September 6th- I will have a table at the Union Square Rock and Roll Yard Sale. It's put on by some great folks in Providence RI and last year was great. I'll have prints, some original artwork and maybe some of these new marker things for sale.

September 10th- There is an event for the comics arm of the upcoming Fluff festival in Union Square. I drew the cover for the book and a bunch of cartoonists are doing the hard work of honest to god storytelling. I'll post more about this when it gets closer, but this will be the place to by comics and of course I'll bring some art too. More to come on this...

September 15th- At the 303 Gallery on Boylston in Brookline I will be having an art show sponsored by the New England Art Institute. This will be fun and I am planning on making this the last place to see a few prints that are ready to retire. More on this in the future too...

I know in December there will be a Honolulu Dogfight presence at the Bizarre Bazaar. And in 2009? A comic!? Let's hope.

Thanks for letting me ramble.
George
