I got seriously bummed awhile back when the iPad came out. I grew up on Macs and was hoping they would pioneer the new sleek art tablet instead of a slim netflix/amazon shopping cart. I couldn't believe their new tablet didn't have a pen or support industry standard programs. So with the advice of Chad Essley at cartoonmonkey.com (you should totally visit), I got some pc tablet info. Then a fellow faculty member at school offered to sell me his laptop tablet pc for a steal. I jumped on it and my work flow tripled. Drawing on the screen in portable fashion is the only way to go.
